The crop models

The crop models shows the performance of a crop system in real terms by mathematical language and on the computer, in order to make the right decisions.

The purpose of using crop models is to improve growth and reduce environmental risks for sustainable agriculture.

Farmoland

Farmland is able to perform the most accurate simulations by its experts for various crops. Based on the crop and available data, Farmland performs plant growth simulations using one or a combination of several of the following methods:

  • Run simulations by statistical models using programming languages such as R or Python
  • Simulation by empirical models using QBasic
  • Simulation by sophisticated mechanistic models based on a type of plant using one of the APSIM or DSSAT. Aquacrop is also used to simulate rice growth.

Currently Farmoland, by using genetic coefficients of more than 40 varieties of plant genotypes such as wheat, barley, rapeseed, soybeans and rice, is able to release the most accurate data, including plant final production, phenology, leaf area index and date Calculate the occurrence of each stage.
